LATIS (Liberal Arts Technologies and Innovation Services) is a CLA administrative unit that provides liberal arts-specific expertise, facilities, and technology services to support the innovative work of the CLA community. We further the college’s mission by partnering with faculty, staff, and students to enhance learning, advance research and creative work, and improve processes.

We have experts in instruction, research, process improvement, and many related technologies available to serve the needs of CLA's instructors, researchers, scholars, and administrators. 

We recognize, however, that finding the right person or resource can be difficult; this is why we partner every CLA department;with a LATIS Consultant. This consultant helps you navigate the wide range of services in the college and the university and advocates for the support you need to accomplish your work.This includes connecting you with specialists within LATIS, CLA administration, University IT, the Libraries, and beyond. We also provide project management support, computer and other technology purchasing options and help in assessing, documenting, and improving department processes

The Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) team is here to partner with you on a range of teaching and learning activities, including:

Research Services and Creative Work

With a high level of expertise in research methodology, LATIS's team can assist with nearly every step of the research process from support in initial grant proposals and human subject protocols through instrument design, experiment programming, participant recruitment strategies, technologically-assisted data collection and management, and analysis.

We provide solutions for all stages of the media process - from start to finish. We "meet you where you are" by providing expertise, resources, guidance and training. We offer studio space, audio/video equipment checkout, computer labs with post-production software, video creation, digitizing, and sharing of teaching and research materials through our archive.
